Rare Diamond Sells for $10 Million +

Another amazing diamond story! We recently wrote about the second-largest diamond ever found, and today it's about a very rare, very expensive diamond sale! An exceptional 23.16 carat pink diamond was found in Tanzania and sold for $433,938 per carat, which comes out to a little over $10 million total!
Pink diamonds are among the rarest naturally-colored diamonds, and as a result they fetch a high price. The rarest diamond color is red. It's so rare that only twenty to thirty TRUE red diamonds are known to exist.
Petra, the mining company that recovered the diamond, has also retained the right to earn partial interest on the future sales of the diamond once it is cut and polished.
